What is your Shoe size?

Thanks nova for passing this on to me.
What's your shoe size? Are your feet the same size as your mom's feet? How about your sister's feet? Can you borrow shoes from each other? Post a picture of your latest shoe buy. Tag the number of women of your shoe size, i.e. size 5 = tag 5 friends. Don't forget to drop a line in this blog when you're done. :)
My shoe size = 7 or 7.5
Mom shoe size = 6
older sister = n/a
second older sister = n/a

When I was still living in the Philippines, my shoe size was 6, I still remember buying them from Celine or Mendez ba 'yun. Anyway, for some reason, since I've been here in the U.S., my shoe size has been size 7 or 7.5 sometimes (sneakers). I'm attaching a photo of my not so recent buy. A black pointed high heel and a sneakers from roxy for summer walk.

Report that Annoying Callers

How many of you get pissed off by these telemarketers who keeps on calling your house and cell phones? We always thought that there is nothing we can do about these telemarketers or people who have nothing to do except to give you harassing phone calls. I have found a new website who has a database of these phone numbers used by telemarketers or annoying callers. Go to annoyingcallers.com, look up the phone numbers these people use to call you. It may be on the list of one of the most annoying callers and you can read what people have said about this phone number. You can leave you own report, experience and how you are being harassed by this caller to be shared to other victims. This is really cool because you are getting first hand information from people who have been victimized by these callers based on their own experiences. So, next time if you get an annoying phone call again, get that phone number and check annoyingcallers.com right away.

Lea Salonga's half gay brod in "Thank You Girls"

I just read this article regarding Lea and Gerard Salonga's half brother Jeff Salonga or known as Gie Salonga now. Gie is 34 years old and he is gay. He is part of the indie film entitled "Thank You Girls". Lea and Gerard has been supportive of him and he has been acknowledged by the Salonga's as their half brother. It is not a surprise that he is also in the same industry as Lea and Gerard. "Thank You Girls" is about a group of gay friends who is joining a gay beauty pageant in Davao City. Gie auditioned fot his role as Allyson but he is a regular performer in comedy bars. He went to Ateneo for his high school and finished Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines. "Thank You Girls" will open in Robinson's Galleria on September 24.

No.188 upsets No.1 at the U.S. Open

Ana Ivanovic of Serbia, ranked No. 1 in the world, bids the U.S. Open early. She lost to Julie Coin of France 6-3, 4-6, 6-3

in the second round last Thursday night. This is the first time since 1968 that the no.1 player lost this early in the tournament. This is what they call the biggest upset in the U.S. Open history. It is Coin's first time to play in a Grand Slam but she did try to qualify for Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon but never made to any of three. Her earnings was less than $100,000 since becoming a pro while Ivanovic had won to almost $6 million already. I am sure this the best game Coin had in her career and this is only the first. Next match for Coin for the third round is Amelie Mauresmo. Good Luck to you Girl!

A Piano Lesson

I remember when I was in kindergarten I had organ lessons in school. Then when I got into elementary, I was enrolled in piano lessons and how can I forget the recital nights that we had. Now that I have my own kid, I also wanted to enroll her in a piano lesson at Amadeus Home Music School. They have professional music teachers in every state and lessons can be done at the comfort of your own homes. Check their website at autonomousparenting.com then click music or you can call them at 1-877-537-7660.

Lexus Car like a tennis ball

You will find this Lexus car right at the entrance of the U.S. Open. For the love of tennis, Lexus made this car like a tennis ball. The body has the same texture as the hairy tennis ball. Cool right? But you cannot bounce it and hit it like a tennis ball. The Lexus IS 350.

Malaysia Cancels Avril Lavigne Concert

Avril Lavigne is scheduled to have a concert in Malaysia this coming August 29th, two days before their forthcoming independence day celebration. Her concert was canceled by Malaysia's Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry. According to them, the concert is unsuitable to Malaysia"s culture and is considered as "too sexy". They do not want their poeple to be influenced by the artists performances. Malaysia is strict with regards to the clothes the performers are wearing. Clothes with obscene and drug related images are not allowed. No jumping, shouting, hugging and kissing on stage. It is their rule and the performers have to abide by it.

Am I funny or do I need help?

In my mind, I am laughing to myself right now. I just read an article regarding funny situations at Reader's Digest Laughs which I could relate myself. Sometimes there are things that you constantly do or even you unconsciously do that would make you think if Are You Normal or Nuts? My favorite among the quirks I have read is about the lady who does not shopping She is a shopaholic to the max. Imagine buying the same stuffs she already have. It is indeed an obsession and I am not surprised that a visit to a qualified therapist is recommended. If you get a chance to read the Reader's Digest, read her story and what do you think?

I have some funny quirks to share too. At work, I use 4 pens everyday. When I arrive in the morning, those 4 pens must be placed in a particular order and color and it will remain that day until I leave in the afternoon. My co workers always say I’m nuts. If I tell a therapist about this, do you think he will ask me
Are You Normal or Nuts? C’mon share your own funny moments too.

Now I am making it a habit to go to rd.com just to have giggle. You too, if you need a little laugh or break from a boring life, visit rd.com/laughs and laugh your heart out. Remember, laughter is the best medicine.

Olympics Controversies

Almost everybody have seen the supershow of China at the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening opening ceremonies. Now after a few days I have been reading some controversies regarding the show. First, that some of the fireworks display are fake, it was done digitally meaning through computers. According to the Beijing Olympics committee, it was because of the smog in China that it would be impossible to see the fireworks and also impossible to capture the 29 spots so it is necessary to replace the live video and also they are after the safety of the helicopter pilot who will be shooting be shooting the fireworks overhead. It was a mission for them to insert that video unnoticed (that it is not live). Even the people inside the bird cage were shown the animated fireworks thinking that it was really happening all over China.

Another controversy I have read today is about the cute, nine year old Chinese Girl in red dress and a pigtail who sang “Ode to the Motherland”. The name of that girl is Lin Miaoke but the real voice belongs to 7 year old Yang Peiyi. In short it was a lyp synch. Reason for this was because Lin’s face is not suitable for Olympic Opening Ceremony so at the last minute they have to get a replacement. In an interview at the Beijing radio station, Chen, the ceremony’s chief music directed is quoted as saying:

"The national interest requires that the girl should have good looks and good grasp of the song and look good on the screen. Lin Miaoke as the best in this. And Yang
Peiyi’s voice was the most outstansding".

Philippines - Every year at the opening of the Congress the president delivers a state of the nation address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa. Usually, this is what they call as red carpet were the women will be wearing signature clothes and jewelries just like an award's night. Well, the standout among the outfits, gowns and formal dresses was a G-string attire of Mayor Rosario Camma of Nagtipunan, Quirino. He proudly wore his native attire in Bugkalot tribe which made him a favorite of photographers and mediamen, including GMA who made a special mention of him. I don't think he spent thousands of pesos for his attire and be the star of the night.

Big Money for Angelina-Brad twins

Here is the first photo of Brad and Angelina with the twins on the cover of People's magazine. It cost $14 million for people magazine to get these photos. The twins are named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline (marcheline is angelina's mom name). They were born July 12 in France, making the family with 6 kids - big sisters, shiloh and zahara and brothers maddox and pax. The couple also had sold Shiloh's first pictures after she was born with People Magazine for $4. What is nice about this celebrity couple is that whatever money they make by selling their baby photos are all donated to their favorite charities and to people who really need the money.
