Baby Sling

When I was pregnant, I did not use any baby sling wrap for my daughter. Although I received one as a baby shower gift, I gave it to my sister-in-law who got pregnant right after my daughter was born. Now I am shopping for one, not exactly them same but a baby pouch for my best friend. She has a five year old and a two month old baby boy. She really needs one to have more ease in shopping or walking at the park.

Are you also shopping for a baby sling? Try to visit the premier baby sling shop online at http://babysling.com. They have all styles of baby sling and shopping is made easy by just selecting by age/weight, by style, by brand, by color or by fabric. Sledding at the Park

The snow last Saturday was a treat for the kids. It was a very calm snow that lasted from early morning up to noon time of Saturday. My daughter kept on asking me to go outside to clean the car. She was offering me to help shoveling but the truth was, she just wanted to go outside and play in the snow. Can i blame her? Her wish was finally granted and the more she got excited when I told her we were going to the park to go sledding.

The park is only a block away from our house. As we got there, we saw bunch of kids already at the field with sleds. I just sat myself on one of the portable bleachers watching her play. The seats were filled with snow but not as much as the aluminum bleachers on the other side of the oval field. These are new additions to the soccer field together with the pet waste stations at the park after they have been damaged by the hurricane last summer.

The snow was a late comer but it sure did feel like winter. I gave credit to the hand warmer I bought at the hardware store two days ago. I lasted the whole time Isabella was playing in the snow.

When It's Going to be Summer Again?

When it is winter, you always dream of sunny and warm weather. I am not even complaining because we are having our first snowstorm of the season only today. I am not counting the first one because it happened last October. Today's snow is not that bad, it is actually beautiful and calm but for my daughter, the fact of not being outside to play is not cool at all. She wants to go back to the park and play on the playsets that were recently installed after hurricane Irene destroyed the old ones. Two more months I told her. I hope.

Hats For The Little Ones

We have a christening to go this Sunday for a baby boy named Kris Jacob. He is the first child of our former co-worker. We have not seen this guy for almost ten years and we accidentally bumped into each at the Oriental store, He had his newborn with him that time in a stroller wearing one of those cute baby hats for winter. To make a long story short, we got an invitation in the mail for the baby's christening two weeks after.

I think I made the right choice of getting the latest babies hats as out gifts. I got two for him but I found another one that is too cute at babyhat.com. They sell not only hats but also accessories for newborn and toddler boys and girls. There Is An Ice Cream Truck At The Lake

If you did not bring anything to eat at all, you won't be hungry at the lake. There is a roach coach that is parked at the lake serving hotdogs, burgers, drinks, italian ice, ice cream and a lot more. The price is quite reasonable.

Here is my daughter with her almost melting vanilla ice cone. It was almost 90 degrees and it only took few minutes and the whole thing was already melted. She still had fun though ( that's all that matters).

She Lost Her Wallet

When I pick up my daughter from school last Friday, right away when I saw her face, I know there was something wrong. I saw a worried face, like “I hope mommy will not get mad at me,” face. As soon as she got into the car, she told me that she lost her wallet. My instant reaction, “was she able to eat lunch?” because that’s her lunch money. She said, yes, the lady at the cafeteria knew that she lost her wallet. My daughter does not know where she dropped it, either at the cafeteria, her classroom or at the kids lockers. The school has no lockers for kids like the first graders yet but the childrens lockers are just at the corridor so she still goes there. Hope somebody finds it and return the wallet to her class. Her name is in there but no teacher’s name.

So I bought her another wallet yesterday. It is a bigger one and has a zip closure and I put her name in bold letters with my phone number. So far she has been responsible for all her school stuffs and this is the first time that happens. Let’s see how long this new wallet lasts.

Does Your Kid Likes Brocolli?

My daughter does. She likes brocolli since she was still a baby. She used to call them "tree" but now that she's bigger, she does not call them "tree" anymore. Brocolli is not the only vegetable she eats, she also likes spinach, string beans, eggplant and fresh salads. I don't let her to feel that it is a big deal to be eating veggies. I want her to grow up knowing that vegetables are eaten regularly. She is loving them and I am so happy about it.

Spring Colors For Babies

We went to the outlet mall yesterday to shop for my computer. I have been comparing several notebooks depending on my computer needs and my budget. Although I really need a computer badly, I did not buy one on without making my homework.

Saturday night, I told my husband that I already decided on what computer to get. I am not buying it at the store and I do not see any store carrying that particular model. Anyway, it is free shipping so it’s not an additional cost to have it shipped at home. Hubby just told me, ok, but let’s go to the outlet first thing in the morning tomorrow.

And viola, they have the notebook at the outlet branch at a cheaper price but in pearl white. It has a faster processor than the one I was eyeing online. I do not care about the color, I like white anyway. So, my quest for a new laptop ended yesterday. The transaction was done in 15 minutes.

Since we still have much time left in our hands (we did not expect that we will be out of the store in 15 minutes), we did some window shopping. Oh boy, the shops are starting to put spring stuffs. It is the best time to get some baby nursery ideas if you are planning to decorate your baby’s room. The spring colors are just perfect baby colors for decorating and painting. I love the colors of yellow, green, pink and purple.

So, my valentine day was complete. To me, V is for Valentine and Vaio.

Kids Making Brownies

My daughter invited her nephew to sleepover at our house tonight. They asked me if we can make brownies, so here's a picture of the untouched (yet) ingredients. They want to do it by themselves (I could imagine the mess!!!) so I told them I put everything in a bowl and they mix them together. They had so much fun.

Cartoon Network Is Full Of Laughs

Content by Donny Vinson

Cartoon Network is easily one of the top childrens networks to watch on television. They have regular episodes and unique shows that differ from the other top networks. In addition to offering daytime childrens programming, they have a nighttime programming line up called Adult Swim that provides entertainment for grown ups with a desire to enjoy cartoons for a more mature audience.

In terms of the cartoons available, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Chowder are two of my favorites. While they are for kids they provide me with tons of laughs each day. Sadly, there will be no new episodes of Flapjack since it was recently canceled for future episodes.

Cartoon Network is one of the higher quality programming channels. There are always new and interesting shows. Most of them are for older children and teens, so they are more relatable than "baby" cartoons like Blues Clues or something similar.

This is my favorite channel that is only available on Cable Television Service. Without this channel available I would be considerably bored with other programming available. If you enjoy interesting and unique cartoons and other shows then http://www.cartoonnetworkhq.com/tw/signup/consent/page CN is something worth watching!

For School

I am going through my daughter’s tests and exercises from her English, Science and Social Studies. She normally leaves them inside her locker at school but I requested that she brings them home for the weekend. The school lockers are safe for her books and school supplies to keep but during Fridays I want her to take them home for study. At least now, she has mastered how to do the combination locks for both her school and gym lockers. We made the same code for both that is easy for her to remember.

What I do with all her school tests and exercises is make copies then I use them as her reviewer for her exams. I made a folder for every grading period and file her papers according to dates. I have to be organized and be on top of everything. It makes my life easier when she needs to study a particular subject or chapter.

I have been showing to my daughter how to be organized with her things. I am happy that when there was an open house in school, I got to see her desk and it was neat and clean. I told myself, that is a good sign.

Making A List

Yes, I already started making a list for my Christmas shopping. I wanted to start early and finish early. I have a bunch of god children and they are mostly in the Philippines. Actually, I already bought some boys clothing that I have sent in the box via sea freight to my country about two weeks ago. I bought those last Labor Day weekend when there was a big sale online. The box was filled fast with chocolates, candies and canned goods for Christmas. I hope they arrive before December 25th.

I prefer doing my shopping online. I cannot stand the parking and crowd at the mall during the holiday season. Periodically I get coupons in the mail and most of them can be used not only in the store but also online plus many stores have been offering free shipping so I do not bother going to the malls anymore. I am so thankful for the internet; making our lives so easier and convenient. This I cannot do though with my food shopping. I wish I could but it is difficult when it comes to food. I just have to go to the supermarket early or very late at night.

Member's Mark Formula

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Member's Mark. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was still pregnant with my daughter, my friend asked me if I planned on using a certain brand of formula for my daughter. I told her I have nothing in mind yet. I want the formula that has the complete nutrition my daughter needs as a growing baby. My friend then asked me if I heard about Member's Mark formula that is available at Sam’s Club. So I did my research and found out that Member’s Mark is just like the other branded formula that meets all strict FDA guideline offering complete nutrition for the baby’s health and development but at a lower price. It also contains DHA & ARA to help support brain and eye development. So why do I have to spend more money on a branded formula while I could get one that can give me savings. If you want to know how much you can save by buying Member’s Mark, you can go to http://www.membersmarkformula.com/and access the “Savings Calculator.” My daughter is now a little girl but every time we go to Sam’s Club we always pass by the baby formulas and she knows that Member’s Mark was her milk when she was a baby but recently we noticed that Member’s Mark has a new packaging with easy to read product type, age and benefit indicators. I immediately grabbed one can and checked the labels. It is still the same formula; only the packaging has changed. I like the new design and I also visited their fan page on facebook.

Goldfish Crackers

This is the centerpiece of the kids table at a birthday party. These are the Goldfish baked crackers -pretzels that we buy at the supermarket. They got the colored ones. So simple but so colorful - all the colors you want in a kids' birthday party. The colored popsicle sticks made into a small tray matches the colorful pretzels perfectly.

Love it.

Instant Snack For Kids

This is my favorite snack for kids at home. When I have the 2 nephews here for a day and they want something to eat, I open a bag of nathan's crinkle cut fries and in a few minutes they have an instant snack. I love the crispness of the fries but soft when you bite them. I always pair it with a mixture of mayo and ketchup.

Kids love it and they always ask for more.

Babies R Us Infant Care Line

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

When it comes to baby needs, there is no other store that comes into my mind than Babies R Us. Do you know that we got our daughter’s name from one product carried by Babies r Us? It was while we were doing our registry that my husband saw the name Isabella.

Here is good news from Toys R Us that all budget conscious mothers like me would love. Toys R Us has officially announced that they will be selling Babies R Us brand of infant care line of products at its store. This Babies R Us brand would include infant formulas, diapers, baby wipes, laundry detergent and purified water at prices at least 50 percent lower than other brands. Actually, I already saw some Babies R Us infant care products at their stores since last year. If Babies R us brand of formula is a lot cheaper than comparable brands, I am sure a lot of mothers would love the big savings they could get. I still remember how many cans of baby formula I buy every month for my daughter and they are not cheap. These are all must haves for our babies that we cannot do without. We just have to be thankful to Toys R us and Babies R Us for offering cheaper baby products of the same quality as comparable brands. For value conscious shoppers, getting big savings on baby products without sacrificing quality is a big help in your budget. Go shop at Babies R Us now!

Looking back at my spending habits when I was single, I was not frugal at all. I go to a grocery store and buy my stuffs as I need them without even thinking if I was making any savings at all. The words “coupon” and “savings” never became significant to me. Everything changed when I started to have my own place and live independently. It became worst actually when I started to raise a family. Now as a mother, a week always start with the Sunday paper for my weekly coupons. I have always this in my mind ….save, save, save!
