New Humidifier

After six years of service, my room humidifier gave up making me buy a new one right away. This is one small appliance that is very important in our house especially during sleeping time. The air inside the house is drier during winter because of the heat, needing the moisture to help us breathe easier. The humidity brought by the heat can cause nose bleed to others, makes your skin dry and can cause difficulty in breathing. This is also very important if you have kids because the humidity is too high for them.

Food Savers From Avon

For those who have asked me about my post regarding the garlic container, I bought that from a fund raising at the school. I could not find the fund raising book anymore nor the brand is shown on the container however I found a similar with Avon. I took a picture of a page from the Avon book and this one is even more festive in color. They have for tomatoes, onions and large pepper. I bought mine for 2 for $7.50 while avon’s are 2 for $7.99. I haven’t checked it online with avon.com but I’m sure they are also available at their website.

Be Bidazzled

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am an online shopper, either at my favorite online store or at the famous online bidding/auction websites. I like the excitement of outbidding other buyers but more than the excitement it is the bargain price that attracts a lot of buyers online.

Last November, a new online market auction called Bidazzled was launched. Bidazzled redefines the online auction market by offering savings of 90% on name brands merchandise. It is commonly called Penny Auctions or Pay-per-bid auction sites, where bids are purchased in advance and then used to bid on merchandise you wish to purchase. The price increases a few cents with each bid placed and a few seconds are added to the countdown to give other buyers the chance to bid. If no other bids, the auction ends. This is where you can see a merchandise can be bought in cents or just a dollar! If you are not lucky, you still receive 50 bonus bids as a thank you for participating that you can use for free within seven days. It’s a different kind of excitement, right? And also remember, when you bid at bidazzled, you are also funding a lung cancer charity.

If you want to get great merchandise at amazing prices, join bidazzled and you automatically get five free bids when you register. Register now for free at bidazzled.com and start bidding right away.

Black Friday Shopping

Did you go shopping last Black Friday? We did but we did not go at 4am to avail of their door busters. I have done that before (when i was still single), probably 2 or 3 black fridays years ago. It was fun and freezing.

We went to 6th Avenue and Best Buy around noon. The parking at 6th Avenue was not bad but at best buy you have to have a lot of patience. You also need prayers to get a spot right away.

I took this picture at the digital camera section of best buy. There's a lot of people but it was not chaotic. Wish there were more cashiers open to ease the pila (lines). Did we find some good deals. Yes, a lot!!!

Lighting By Lux

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lighting by Lux. All opinions are 100% mine.

We had our first snow of the season last Saturday. It was weird because around noon time the temperature was still in the 40’s so we thought it will not snow but all of a sudden the temperature dropped in the 30’s. On our way to attend a birthday party around 4pm, it became so dark and cars started to slow down because the snow was coming down. Some areas got six inches which they considered a treat to be able to do snow tubing. The snow did not last; it tapered off around midnight.

Since yesterday was too cold to be outside, we got the chance to do some work around the house and finally put up our Christmas tree. Hubby took charge of changing the outdoor and bathroom vanity lights with the energy efficient lighting we ordered from Lighting by Lux. This job is long overdue since we already have all the lighting fixtures even before the cold season was here. We have been changing all our lights to the energy efficient ones to lessen our electric bills especially this winter.

So, my little one was very excited with our Christmas tree. I know she has been checking the names on the Christmas presents under the tree and she is wondering why she does not have any yet. I just told her they are still with Santa but for sure they will be before Christmas day.

My Onion/Garlic Container

What do you think is this funky looking container? This is specifically made for onion halves to be kept inside the fridge. The purpose of the handle hook is for you to be able to hang it in your refrigerator shelves. I thought I can do that in our refrigerator but ours is made of glass shelves so hindi puede isabit. Maybe the main purpose of why it is supposed to be hanged is for you not to forget the unused half onion next time you cook. I have been using the ziploc to store half onions pero lumalabs yung amoy sa ref and most of the time I do not remember to check inside the crisper. So with this, since the container is so unique, I can easily identify it inside the refrigerator. And hopefully, hubby would not be calling me for any unused onion if he takes over the kitchen once in a while.

I got two of this. One for onions and the other for garlic.

Pacman Fever

After the Manny Pacquiao win, all of a sudden I got associated with the Pacman here at my job. I am the only pinoy here, oh correction dalawa pala kami pero yung isa dito parang ayaw umamin na pinoy sya porke ‘ala ng accent mag-english pero please sa kulay pala di maitago…nway, for those who have watched the fight or heard about it, when they see me, they are like..”that pacquiao from Philippines was unbelievable and super fast!” There was even one Puerto Rican yesterday and he was super bilib kay many. Even my husband told me that people will yell at him “pacquiao!!!” (pero slang) as they see him along the corridor.

It’s the Pacman fever. Congrats again Manny.

Water Damage Services

My friend called me from California asking if I can recommend a very reliable guy that can fix the water damage in her house. She knows that I had experiend this in our house before in Orange County and being a first time homeowner she has no clue on how to fix house problems like this. For all water damage, leaks, flooding and plumbing problems before, we only called able restoration, the most trusted Water Damage San Diego, Riverside and Orange county areas. They have a 24/7 hotline (1800-696-6676) and 24 hour emergency service. They know what your concern is as soon as you make the call so they give you the attention and professional service you deserve the soonest possible time. So if you live by the San Diego area, better keep their phone number handy. You will never know when you need them.

Horizontal Lines on Plasma TV

We have a sony bravia at home and for the past week we noticed some horizontal lines across the screen. We pay no mind as it disappears after few minutes of watching TV. It happens when you first turn on the tv. Now for the past days, more thin fine lines are coming out and sometimes you cannot see the picture anymore. It is like a blank blue screen with plaid colored design on it. You can still hear the sound though. We cannot watch anything so we just turned it off. Few minutes later, my husband turned it back on and the lines were gone. Fine again but not permanently. We still get the lines every now and then. My husband was saying maybe it’s time to change the bulb…..like what bulb???? Is this a plasma defect or a symptom of trash the tv/spend a lot of money for repair thing?!!
This TV is more than a year old. If I remember we bought it from Costco sometime August or September last year.

Anybody had this problem with their tv?

Queen Torrent

I am a person that loves to listen to music while working. I always listen to different radio stations online to listen to different music but I do not think I will be doing this the whole time I am at the office anymore. All the employees have been asked to minimize streaming music because it slows down the server. This is actually not a big problem with me because I can always use my ipod at work.

I was able to download a lot of songs to my ipod this weekend. I have been using the new search engine queen torrent every time I
download music online. This powerful search engine is very simple but give you thousands of results by just a simple search. Your search result gives you the different categories available and the size of the file. Other than music, I was able to download many games, free movies with no interruption or incomplete file. Try this new search engine at queentorrent.com.
