I Am Excited To Go Clubbing

This coming 4th of July weekend, we have friends from California who are coming over for a visit. Last time we saw one another was when we went to San Diego about five years ago. We stayed at their beautiful house for a weekend and now it is our chance to tour them around New York and New Jersey. They are first timers here together with their teen daughter. Only Friday, July 3rd, we are planning to go clubbing in the city while the daughter can hang around with the step daughter. I have not been in a club for a long time since I had my daughter. I do not think I still know how to dress up for a clubbing spree. My friend says to go shopping at AMIClubwear, an online boutique selling trendy and fashionable clothing, shoes, accessories, etc at very reasonable prices.

While shopping at AMI Clubwear, I have learned that they have expanded their services to YouTube, this time not only selling clothes; they will share to the viewers videos of their company, fun-filled trips, photo shoots and behind the scenes footages. You can even learn how to apply make-up via their video tutorials. Subscribe to them at YouTube for more video updates coming. What is more awesome is that while watching these videos and subscribing to their YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/amiclubwear), you get the chance of winning a $300 gift certificate that you can use for shopping at amiclubwear.com. How cool is that, right? The
official contest rules are very simple. No purchase is necessary to join the contest. You must be a legal U.S. resident, at least 18 years of age. The contest started May 28, 2009 and will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 24, 2009. I joined myself, hoping I will win the $300 gift certificate. This will be more shopping money for me.

I am really excited for this get-together. I am sure we will have a good time in New York, the city that never sleeps. Do not forget to join the contest; you may be the lucky winner soon.

This my favorite chicken and fries fast food. I always order their bite size chicken nuggets and waffle potatoe fries. For my sauce, i mix catsup and mayonaise. yummy, yummy...
I like how their nuggets are cooked. Not too much flour on it and it taste like pure chicken white meat. If you see this sign at the mall, try it.

If You Are Diagnosed With Mesothelioma

I work in a company that deals with contractors and business owners. We see the workers more frequently at our warehouse picking up materials rather than the business owners. For years that they have been doing business with us, we have become friends, making them comfortable to tell kind of stories about their jobs; stories of what happened at the construction area, who got hurt or something, the difficulty of their work, who is not working anymore and a lot more. There is this one person that we have not been seen for a long time and they told us that he stopped working because he is suffering from Mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma is a type of cancer commonly caused by long exposure to asbestos, a product that is used in construction materials. It has been called a “miracle mineral” because it adds strength to products and resist fire, hence, its importance to building materials. A lot of our workers are exposed to asbestos and there are around 2000 new cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed in the U.S. each year.
If you, a family member or anybody you know is suffering from this disease, you have legal rights against your negligent employers that entitles you compensation for your medical expenses, pain, loss of income, etc. Make sure you hire a very competent and well experience
Mesothelioma Lawyer that will help you with your case. If you are in need of a lawyer, you can contact the offices of Mark & Associates, P.C. or call this toll free number at 1-866-50-RIGHTS (1-866-507-4448).

Hayden Kho & Katrina Halili Scandal

I am sure you already heard /saw the Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili, etc. sex scandal. It has been in the news almost everyday for about a week now. This is the talk of the town, senate, carinderia, ym’s texts, emails, etc after Manny Pacquiao’s win and Mommy Dionesia’s birthday bash. What do you think is the next controversy? All I can say is that if Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili can dance to Careless Whispers, I can blog them on My Careless Whispers too!

Mayor Quits For Love

The newly re-elected mayor of San Angelo, Texas (West Texas) J.W. Lown resigned from being a town mayor because he has a relationship with a man who does not have legal status in the U.S. His partner is from Mexico. The mayor has a dual citizenship – U.S. and Mexico. He made his resignation before he was sworn to office last Tuesday and according to Lown he does not want to take the oath knowing “he was aiding and assisting” someone who is not a U.S. citizen.

Will you do this for love to?

The Bird

I am not sure if this is a goose or a duck but my co-worker said they are geese. He is referring to a bunch of these birds right outside our office every morning. Sometimes they come with their kids waiting for bread from people. This lonesome one is at my bank's parking lot. I've been coming and going for the past two weeks, and she is always there, rain or shine, not bothered by the cars and eyes of people staring/taking pictures like me. The first photo was taken about a week ago and the bottom was last Sunday.

Box of Mangoes

It is almost ripe. My daughter loves mangoes. We have found mangoes before at Costco at 6 for $5.99 but this is much better. I bought this at the Korean store for $11.99 (20 pieces). This is so Philippines to me. I really miss our mangoes back home. Every time I speak to my mom she would always ask me if I want mangoes and how can she send them to us. Hello? Kung puede lang. My mom is always like that. I remember when I was still in college in Manila, almost every week we have a next day delivery from LBC or DHL full of goodies from the province. Hay, I miss those days. Anyway, back to the mangoes, we have to wait for a day or two because we tasted one the other day - it was still SOUR!!!! yellow green pa kasi!

The Sisig

A sisig is a kapampangan food, usually a pulutan or something to be eaten when you drink beer. We purchased it from the new Filipino restaurant next to our town. Hubby who is from Pampanga knows how the sisig is supposed to taste and its ingredients. He can cook it when he likes to that’s why we have a sizzling plate at home. At the house, he had a taste test of the sisig we bought – it does not have the pig’s cheeks, ear or whatever as ingredients. It is not chili too. So, to make the taste a little bit close to the original sisig, hubby added more chili and lemon (we don’t have kalamansi) to it, put it on the sizzling plate to make it look like the authentic ones.

My Mother's Day Gift

Mother’s day is one special day that I always look forward to every year. Every mother’s day has been special to me since I became a mom but this mother’s day was more significant because it is the first time I got a card from my daughter that she made herself. Also, it is the first time that my husband has given me jewelry as a gift. I was really surprised because he does not know how to buy jewelry. Normally, he will bring me to a store, let me pick what I want and he pays for it. When I asked him if he asked his sister-in-law to help him, he said no. He confessed that he got some tips and gift ideas from Jewelry Information Center on how to buy jewelry. I checked the website myself and I found how helpful it is to buyers and consumers. If you want information about fine jewelry, shopping guide and tips, cleaning ideas, history or latest trends, jic.org will provide you with everything you need.

Also at JIC.org, you can read different
Jewelry Stories posted by people from all over the world; stories on how a piece of jewelry gets a special meaning in someone’s life. Whoever has a beautiful story to tell, submit it and get the chance a “journey” necklace with 1.5 ct. diamond and 14k white gold from Kay Jewelers. Share your story and who knows you can be the lucky winner of this beautiful necklace.

Buying A Used Car

The step daughter has been accepted to the school she applied for college. She will be starting this September. The school is not accessible by bus so we have to find a used car that she can drive from home to her part time job then school. There is one car that is for sale at my job but they still have to order some Volvo parts from swedishparts.net, the trusted online store carrying a wide selection of volvo and saab auto parts. One salesperson has been using this car for eight years but it broke down so the company has decided to buy him a brand new one. Once this is fixed, I will ask my boss if I could buy it for the step daughter’s use. Hope he can give it to me at a very low price.

I Am Shopping Again

I and hubby finally made up our mind about the beach party this coming Memorial Day weekend. I will be held down the shore and is being hosted by the Officers of my husband’s tennis club. At first we were undecided because I will be working that weekend but luckily my co-worker was looking for a switch for her weekend so it worked perfectly fine for me.

For the beach party, I am planning to wear this summer dress that I found on amiclubwear.com. I will be wearing this with the flat sandal I have bought from them few days ago. It is usually very warm during Memorial Day so this dress can beat the heat and humidity for that day.

I found this little black dress for the step daughter’s graduation day. It is time to replace my overused black dress at home which has been worn in so many occasions. Since hubby will be wearing his coat and tie, I cannot be in something informal that night. The graduation will be at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner in one hotel here.
If you are shopping for sexy clothing for parties, clubbing or any special event, go to amiclubwear.com for a wide selection of party clothes at very low prices. They also have every kind of footwear and accessories to match your dress. Not only you get them at very low prices, you also get free shipping within the U.S. for purchases of only $50.

My Windshield

This is how my windshield look this morning. The van has petals scattered all over it. It looks so beautiful. Nobody put it there but because I parked under a tree full of flowers then it rained last night. You can still see part of the tree where all the flowers came from. Soon all the these flowers will be gone replaced by just leaves. More rain and wind, they will be gone in a few days. I like flowers. I wish they can stay on the trees forever.

Protect Your Home

I always remember when I first moved here in the U.S. I lived with my aunt in California. It took me a while to adjust to the new way of living. I got so homesick especially during weekdays being left alone in the house after everybody left for work. I was “home alone” for how many months before I finally got a job.
I got used to being alone but I got scared when somebody broke into our neighbor’s house. It was the first time for me to see cops and a lot of police cars along our street. From that time, I do not want to be left alone anymore. This made my aunt decide to have a wireless security system installed in the house for security and peace of mind.

She got the Cooper Package of GE home security from Protect America which includes a talking control panel, a motion detector, three entry points, internal siren and door chimes, battery backup, one button arming, three window decals and one yard sign. If you are interested with this package, it is being offered today for FREE, giving you a savings of $295. For more information or inquiries regarding other packages, you can call them at this toll free number 877-470-2751. And remember, just by calling this number, you will get two keychain remotes with your order.
