This weekend we will be celebrating father’s day once again. Do you already have plans for this special day? For us, we will be going out for dinner on Saturday night together with the two step daughters and the kids. On the day itself, we will be attending the Sunday mass then to my in-laws for brunch.
How about you? Any plans for father’s day? Well, if you are looking for a perfect destination to spend father’s day, I think a weekend trip to Branson Landing is an excellent choice. Branson Landing, Missouri is a place for the whole family to enjoy. I am sure the fathers will love to experience playing golf at the new Payne Steward Golf Club. After golfing with his friends, he can join the family for father’s day dinner at the various restaurants and later enjoy the night at any of the 49 live entertainment theaters in the area. The kids will have a wonderful time at the various theme parks and be at the National Kid’s Fest at Silver Dollar City. Do not forget to bring the fathers to the exciting Father’s Day Salute on his special day.
If you are going to spend a vacation or weekend at Branson Landing, stay at the new Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel right at the downtown. These hotels are located right at the center and very accessible to all the shops, boutiques, restaurants, a river walk while watching the famous dancing fountain and other attractions. You can book your stay now at www1.Hilton.com or by calling them at 1417-336-5500 or 1417-336-5400.
My husband has lived in Australia for a couple of years before he migrated to the U.S. He tells me a lot about the natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand. Actually, we have plans of visiting these two countries soon. We still have to save for our airfare and pocket money.
He has visited New Zealand and he always talks about Kaikoura, Christchurch and Queenstown. Kaikoura has majestic mountains covered with snow and rich in sea marine mammals, sea birds, whales, dolphins, seals and a lot more. In Queenstown, he wants me to see Lake Wakatipu and the beauty of the mountains. In Churchchrist, I will see a lot of my favorites such as arts and crafts, shopping and great bars. How I wish I could be a full time travel blogger to share my experiences to my readers.
Why all of a sudden I am talking about New Zealand? Because I have joined a contest sponsored by Air New Zealand called “Larry the Travel Guy” where you will get a chance to win free trip to New Zealand for two. It is easy to join and no purchase is necessary. Just visit Air New Zealand website and complete the online entry form. Do not let this chance slip away. Deadline of entries will be December 31, 2008.
My friend just came back from a vacation in San Diego. She knows how I miss In and Out Burger so she gave me this in and out hat as pasalubong. I found it on my computer chair this morning. She said she asked it from one of the crews and she was thinking of me while munching their famous fries. Thanks for the thought too! Last time I had in and out was 4 years ago when we were in CA for my daughter’s christening. I used to be an OC Girl until I moved here in 2000.
Do you go to Bennigan’s or Steak & Ale to eat? Sorry, restaurant is closed but not all branches. Only those that are owned by their parent company because they filed bankruptcy protection while those owned by franchisees which is around 160 restaurants here and internationally who are not part of the bankruptcy will still be open.
