Virtual Dating

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Smingle.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

I work in a company where there are more men than women. I heard men stories all the time especially during breaks at our lunch room. Do not get me wrong, all my co-workers treat us with respect but sometimes when they all get together they cannot help share stories that sometimes women are not supposed to hear. Today at lunch break, one gentleman was sharing his experience about virtual dating. He is our IT guy, so what do you expect from a guy like him? He is online always; from his desktop, to his notebook then to his iPhone. Now, he is trying to find a partner through Smingle.com, an online dating with a twist. To be a member, there is no long forms and surveys to be filled out anymore. This is what you call virtual dating. First, you get to know your future partner by going to a virtual cafĂ© or bar, play “get to know me” games like Love Match, go chat, create a fun 3D avatar that looks and dresses like you and make your 3D avatar flirt to your date’s avatar. Wow, this is a fun way of getting to know your partner without spending money. Virtual dating also helps you avoid disappointment because you take your time in knowing one another before meeting face to face.

It was actually my first time to hear about virtual dating. Welcome to the world of technology and internet. Are you interested in trying it? According to a Harvard study in 2006 "Virtual dates cause individuals to develop greater affinity toward one another when they actually meet." The new cutting edge is interactive, virtual dating." This has been featured on msnbc, fox news, E, discovery channel, etc. If you are single, why do not you check it out and register at http://www.smingle.com and when you upload a picture to your profile you get 3months free!!! Good luck, you may get your perfect match through virtual dating.

President Cory Aquino Dies

We just saw on TV via TFC that the former President Cory passed away this afternoon eastern time at 3:18 p.m. (3:18 a.m. Saturday early morning Philippine time). Her family and close friends were at her bedside on her last breath praying the sorrowful mystery of the holy rosary. She lost her battle to stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 76.

Our prayers to the Aquino family. May her soul rest in peace.

To All Red Heads

My co-worker has a beautiful red hair and we call her red hair Stef. When I started working at my job, I thought she goes to the salon to have her hair dyed but it’s her natural hair color. I love it. She likes it when we call her red hair lady.

Last Saturday, we were both working and she showed all the pictures she posted on her facebook. It was my first time to be talking to her on a casual basis and she is cool. She has a group of friends online who are all red heads whom she communicates everyday through a social network called redhedd.com. Her group is getting bigger and bigger everyday and they are not only
redheads but open to people who love red heads. If there was just enough time last Saturday, I could have signed up too but we have to go home early because it was Valentine’s day.

So to all red heads out there, meet your fellow red heads at redhedd.com. I am sure you would like to be in a group where you have something in common. To join this fun group would not cost you anything. Go sign up now.

Pregnant Man is Expecting Again

Remember the pregnant man who was a guest at Oprah? And got very famous? Well, he is pregnant again. Thomas Beatie, 34, who lives in Oregon, used to be a woman had a sex change 10 years ago but kept her female reproductive organs. Physically, he looked like a man or should I say, a woman in a man’s body. He got himself a wife for five years now and they were blessed with a baby girl born June last year. Nancy, the wife, cannot conceive so they decided Beatie to go through artificial insemination using a sperm from a donor and Beatie’s egg. Now they did it again and the second baby is due on June 12.

Beatie has an interview with Barbara Walters on “20/20” which will be aired on Nov. 14. They are also on British documentary that will be shown on Discovery Health Channel next week.

Obama's Aunt is in the U.S. Ilegally

Days before the u.s. presidential election, a surprise came to Obama’s camp reporting that Obama’s aunt is living in the United States illegally. Her name is Zeituni Onyango, a half sister of Obama’s late father Barack Obama, Sr. She is known as Auntie Zeutini to Barack. In 2002 she applied for political asylum in the U.S. but was denied in 2004 when she got her deportation order. She has been living in a public housing in Boston for five years.

After hearing this news, Obama said that he has no knowledge that one of his relatives is living illegally in the U.S. He said that appropriate laws applicable to her shall be followed.

Recently, I have read that Obama’s aunt wants to fight her deportation order. She got herself an immigration lawyer to help her. She is now staying with relatives in Cleveland after leaving her housing in Boston. Onyango believes that her case was leaked to hurt Obama in his Presidential campaign.

Am I funny or do I need help?

In my mind, I am laughing to myself right now. I just read an article regarding funny situations at Reader's Digest Laughs which I could relate myself. Sometimes there are things that you constantly do or even you unconsciously do that would make you think if Are You Normal or Nuts? My favorite among the quirks I have read is about the lady who does not shopping She is a shopaholic to the max. Imagine buying the same stuffs she already have. It is indeed an obsession and I am not surprised that a visit to a qualified therapist is recommended. If you get a chance to read the Reader's Digest, read her story and what do you think?

I have some funny quirks to share too. At work, I use 4 pens everyday. When I arrive in the morning, those 4 pens must be placed in a particular order and color and it will remain that day until I leave in the afternoon. My co workers always say I’m nuts. If I tell a therapist about this, do you think he will ask me
Are You Normal or Nuts? C’mon share your own funny moments too.

Now I am making it a habit to go to rd.com just to have giggle. You too, if you need a little laugh or break from a boring life, visit rd.com/laughs and laugh your heart out. Remember, laughter is the best medicine.
