When Monday Is A Holiday

I love holidays especially when they fall on Mondays. Who would not want a long weekend, right? In the case of getting paid at work, having a long weekend affects us who get paid every week. At my job, we get paid every Tuesday so payroll is sent to the payroll company every Monday. We do not have a company that takes care of our payroll, like the bookkeeper Melbourne. Our employee bookkeeper is the one tallying our hours worked and overtime then submits them to the payroll company who takes care of the check printing and direct deposits. So if there is no work on a Monday, it automatically follows that we do not get paid that Tuesday. Same case applies too if he is out sick on a Monday.

I hope my job hires a professional bookkeeping services to do our payroll. At Bookkeeper Melbourne, they offer offsite bookkeeping and payroll services which are handled by accountants and bookkeepers who are professionally trained in accounting and bookkeeping. The charge of taking their service is not per hour but a fixed monthly fee. There is even an ongoing discount that is being offered at Accounts and Advice website. If you need more information or if you are interested in hiring Accounts and Advice bookkeeping and payroll services for your company, simply visit them at their website on http://accountsandadvice.com.au or call at 1300-629-454.

Can You Buy A Home Even With Bad Credit?

One thing that has been instilled in my mind when I arrived here in the U.S. is the importance of having a good credit. To have an outstanding credit score, you start building by paying your bills on time and do not over borrow. Your credit is very important when you are applying for a loan and the interest rate depends on how good or bad your credit is.

So what happens if you have a bad credit and you want to buy a home? Of course, when you have an outstanding credit history, the approval rate is higher but it does not mean you cannot be approved at all if you have a bad credit. There are companies like advantagehomerates.com that specializes in helping people who are trying to get a loan but with not so good credit standing. They can also help you on your construction loans, bailouts, loans with only 3% down, refinancing, loans for self-employed people, first time buyers and a lot more. If you are interested and to help you better with your inquiries, you can contact them or fill out a mortgage inquiry application form on their website (advantagehomerates.com). Good luck on your future home.

Changing Careers

There is this one guy in our warehouse that has not been skipping work but recently he takes off a day or two for personal reasons. One day he came late to work and everybody was surprised that he was not wearing his casual working clothes but rather in a dress shirt and pants. When you ask him is he is job hunting, he will just smile back at you.

Now the mystery is solved. He just tendered his two week notice to the HR department. When asked and he did not mind at all, he said he is joining a payday affiliate program like the one being offered by Blue Global Media. He will start as a publisher in one of the top affiliate networks promoting different offers from advertisers. Have you heard how affiliate marketing works?

If you are interested in joining a network of affiliates, Blue Global Media welcomes application for publishers at http://www.blueglobalmedia.com. They offer high commissions and weekly payout and dedicated affiliate support to their team. Join them now and work on those leads right away.

She Got A Car

I am talking about the step daughter. She just got a car courtesy of her dad. No, dad is not paying but dad co-signed for her car loan. She tried applying a car loan on her own but she cannot get approved because she does not have any credit yet. I told her it is better not to have any credit history yet than having to repair your bad credit. She told me that she knows companies like the credit people that extends credit repair service to individuals with huge debts and not able to cope up with payments anymore. How to manage your debt and paying them off on time is the advise given to her before she was able to get her dad's go signal in getting a car for her. She promised that she will work hard to pay for that car. I know she can do it.

So what is the car she got? Of course, it must be a car that is very efficient with gas. Her first choice was an SUV but when she saw the gas mileage she settled for a small car. It's a wise decision now that gas is almost $4 per gallon. Her father suggested to get a smaller car since he does not want her to be asking for gas money in the future. She laughed. So now, she is one happy teen driver.

Gold Cash

The price of gold went down a little bit today to less than $1,500 per ounce due to a stronger dollar. I always monitor the gold prices by reading the New York business news since the school is coming up with a fund raiser called “cash for gold.” I volunteered for this Saturday. It is not only “cash for gold” but there are other stuffs that are on sale such as clothing and food. Most of these items are donated by parents and students to raise funds for school projects. Whoever thought of the cash for gold is a bright idea not only because the gold price is getting higher but also a good income for the school. They get a certain percentage out of the sales for that day.

I tried to get involved now with my daughter’s school activity. Sometimes I cannot come to the meeting because of my work schedule so I tried to make up by volunteering. The more years that my daughter spends in this school, the more I get attached to it. It is fun to get involved. It brings back my elementary days sometimes.

IRA Talk

I am not sure if I would be able to make it to work today. I really don't want to miss the talk about Roth IRA to be given by the company that handles our retirement accounts at work. It's still a long way ahead to retirement but to be knowledgeable of how to prepare and how to save your money wisely is very important. If I cannot make it, i hope they will offer something online.

Isabella has been sick since yesterday. She missed school already and I am hoping she would be able to make it later today although I left a message at the school that she would be out again. She does not have the temperature anymore but she is complaining about her stomach. She threw up this morning and now fast asleep still. Hoping that when she wakes up she will feel a lot better.

So I got a message from my co-worker that the IRA people will be at my job at around 1 pm. If I can make it or not it all depends on how my daughter feels later. Let us see what happens later.

Hubby Got It

So my husband was a happy camper of the day. The day has come for his iphone upgrade. He was not playing because right after work, we went to the apple store to purchase his iphone 4. My husband is not a techy guy but he is an avid iphone user since day 1. I cannot blame him because the iphone is really awesome.

The apple guy helped him transfer all his apps and datas from the old phone to the new one. The guy does not really know how much time and energy he saved me by doing it. As i was looking at the new phone, my husband has apps for online trading and now the new mobile trading of stocks. When i asked him if he ever tried the mobile trading? He said, he will with his new phone. I have no idea about stock trading so i leave this all to him.

When we left the store, hubby was not the only one happy but me too. No, i did not get a new iphone too but i got hubby's old one. I have a very nice smartphone but i decided to switch because my phone's battery goes fast. I am fine with the 3Gs for now, i'll just wait for the iphone 5 to arrive.

Smc Corp

There has been some change of plans regarding our vacation to the Philippines because of my school. I think it will work out better this way so that I can have time to earn some extra income for travel expense as I wait for another year. There is really a need to replenish since I have used some of my money for school.

I am looking at this specialty merchandise corporation, a company that will help you start a small business where you are able to purchase products at a low price and resell them for profit. I think I am good at reselling but when you talk about selling products to others, you need money up front to be able to buy the products you will sell. Who do you think is generous enough to give me the money? Although, smc is saying that all you need to start is just an smc membership, I want to learn more about its ins and outs and check smc corp bbb rating. Hope I find good reviews and feedback that would be helpful to my plans.

Am I Getting A Student Loan?

It has been a very busy two weeks for me since I started school again. So far everything is going fine; just wishing for more hours in a day sometimes. I liked my student life a lot. Actually, I am ready to enroll for more credits starting next month.

Being in school is not cheap at all. This is the reason why student loans are being offered by a lot of institutions. I have plans of applying for a student loan but I still have to check what my credit score is. If there is a free interest student loan, that would be great but there is nothing like that.

I can still afford my school expenses now but I get a lot of student loan applications in the mail with free credit score report but I am not decided yet. I do not want to be in debt by the time I finish school. If i decide to get one in the future, hopefully i can find a loan with the lowest interest rate available.

A Friend Is Coming

I am very excited to know that a friend of mine from Philippines is finally coming to the U.S. I said finally because she was much undecided for a long time. She has been a house wife all her life with no previous job experience at all. She knows she has to get a job once she gets here to survive but with no experience she thinks she will not make it. I told her to try going back to school but she is not interested in that too. So I said to her, “Why don’t you just put on your own business?” Oh, it was a delight when I told her that. It means she is interested.

I told my friend that somebody has mentioned to me about Specialty Merchandise Corporation, a company that provides business opportunities to people. At smc corp , they have a huge inventory of home decor, collectibles, general gift merchandise and a lot more that SMC members can buy at discounted prices and sell to customers for profit. And, to start with SMC, all you have to do is to register as a member. Once a member, SMC will also provide you with tools and coaching to succeed. I also reminded her to read about the specialty merchandise corporation complaints before she makes her final decision.

Let’s see what happens when my friend gets here. At least, there are a lot of options available for her.

Big Changes Coming Up

I am talking about changes in the company I work with. First, we are putting another branch in New Jersey. The target date for the opening of this new branch is this summer. A branch manager was already hired and now the management is getting busy hiring drivers, office workers and warehouse people. If I am willing to move down south I can work at our new branch but relocating is just too difficult if you have a family.

Next change to happen is the upgrade of our system. We will start using scanner for all our sales and inventory. Just recently, we have been accepting online payments from customers. This lessens our workload every end of the month; eliminating the printing, stuffing and mailing of statements. As soon as our merchant account got approved, all these changes took effect.

We got a good deal when we sign up for our ach merchant account. My company was able to avail of the limited time offer of the $300 value free. It was a big savings for us. Interested about this offer? You can call 1800-774-7597 or sign up with no set up fees at http://merchantaccountproviders.com.

Getting Rid Of Debts

It has been six months since overtime was cut off at my job. We used to have unlimited overtime hours but because of the recession, they cut it off. Although it sure hurts a lot in our pockets but it is what it is. We, as workers have to find means to fill the gap created by the slow in business. I think of getting a part time if my schedule permits.

I have a mortgage, bills and a car note to pay. I am wondering if I have to apply for a credit counseling, just to see how many options I have to lower my bills without hurting my credit. If I go for debt consolidation, I do not know any company that is trusted to do this job. Debt consolidation is one better option to avoid a financial downfall in the future.

So far I was still able to make both ends meet. A huge tightening of the budget is needed. You just have to give up a lot of the luxuries to avoid overspending and still have something left at the end of the day. Every dollar counts these days.

I Found A Wallet In The Garbage

Here is the whole story. I went to the bank to deposit money at the ATM for the checks I issued to pay my Chase credit cards. There was a line at the machine because the bank was already closed that time. Since it was freezing, I went back to the car and wait for everybody to leave before I do my deposit. The payment for the chase and citi credit cards are not due until Monday anyway, so there is no need to rush. Now, when it was my turn to make a deposit and this time I was left by myself, I saw a man’s branded wallet in the garbage right next to the ATM machine. I did not do anything, I finished my transaction but my mind was still in that wallet!!! Maybe, somebody threw it there? Or, it was left there on purpose, like finder’s keeper??? Or, it just fell without the knowledge of the owner? In my mind, I know cameras are all over when you are in the bank and there is even one right at the ATM machine in front of me. I do not want to be caught on camera picking up somebody else’s wallet although I know my intentions are good. Then, what if somebody really lost a wallet - a wallet full of credit cards, driver‘s license, insurance cards, etc? The more I would be scared if there was a lot of cash inside. I don’t think so because it doesn’t look bulky. All these questions were in my thoughts but I did not dare pick up that wallet, then when I looked at the ceiling, there is one camera right on top of the garbage can!!! I said, that’s it, I am leaving now!!!!

I told my husband the story as soon as I got home. He was laughing at me. I just hoping the wallet was really intended to be thrown away.

A New Year

Yehey, two more days to go and it’s another long weekend. Thanks for the snow for making the work week shorter. We were already assured today that we get paid for the Monday that we did not come to work because of the snow. Eight people made it to work. I did not even try. I know it was so risky to be on the road in a blizzard.

So, we bid 2010 goodbye in two days. Do you have any new year’s resolution? I know it is old school but new year for me is the time to be thankful and reflect on what you have and what do you think you need to improve. I have never
promised anything on a new year but this 2010 I have been doing a credit repair by paying off outstanding credit card balances. I regularly run my credit report to check my score. I don’t think I need the help of professional credit repair services but I just want my credit score to be a bit higher. Just in case I make a major purchase this coming year, I can easily apply for a loan with no problems.

As we celebrate the holidays, we have been to parties and dinners forgetting our diet. So what do we do to make ourselves feel better? We make a new year’s resolution - to lose weight. This is the most common one and also most
unfulfilled, I guess. I am one guilty person. So this year, I am not making any but I will try to make 2011 a better and more fruitful year. Happy New Year!

Casual Fridays

It is indeed a thank god it’s Friday. It is a dress down Friday, you can come in jeans or sweat pants or you can even wear shorts during summer time. We also have a hour lunch during Fridays. At the lunch room today, there was a lot of discussions about the debt relief programs available these days. There are a lot of companies that offer these services but you have to be careful how much does it cost you to be in this program. One lady said that she already got a debt negotiation letter from one company but she thinks that it is still a scam. Your aim to get into this program is to have a debt settlement in a way that is not so difficult in your present financial situation not to add more burden on you. A guy at the end of the table confessed that he was a victim of these scams two years and up to now he is still paying for it.

I am a person that is not comfortable in bringing my money problems on the table especially with people not you do not consider as friends. I was just listening to the discussion but I learned a lot though. I wonder who started it. It was a hot topic, maybe we can have something light next Friday. Ooops, it’s Black Friday next week!

Aiming For A Good Credit Score

The first thing I have been taught since I got my first credit card here in the U.S. was to learn how to build your credit history. It is not just a credit history but with a good credit score. To have a good credit history depends on how you manage your finances. I was always advised not to skip payments on any of my bills, do not over borrow money and keep your credit card balances low. So far I have been doing well but when times are rough, I tried not to skip any payments; at least I make it to the minimum.
Now here comes the major investment that we are trying to make – buying a home. They say that this is the best time to buy a house because the interest rates are low and the price of a new home is declining except in some states where recession has not affected them at all. We have been trying to avoid using our credit cards because we know sooner or later we are going to get our free credit score for our loan. We are also trying to pay off as much debts we owe now to be
able to get a high score on our credit history. This is a long process but we are so careful with every step we make. I hope this will materialize soon.

Easy, Safe and Convenient

I work in a billing department of a distributor. Although we are a distributor, we still sell some items over the counter inside our warehouse. Since we started 3 years ago, most of our sales are cash but as the years go by, we saw the demand of using credit cards from customers. Likewise, we also started purchasing our supplies using the company credit card. The management decided to open merchant accounts to give our customer convenience in making payments. Of course we have to negotiate for cheaper transaction rates from different card companies. If you are a company that needs assistance in securing lower rates, ACM Merchant can be of service to your company to get a contract that your business needs. Every business deserves the best credit card processing service that is available to make your business accessible to customers.

Our sales have gone up since we started accepting credit card payments. Not only it created more sales but it more secure and convenient.

Money Online Opportunity

I brought to work my mails that I have not opened for days. At my lunch break, I will try to sort out the bills, financial statements and junk mails. I rarely open my financial statements anymore because sometimes I get depressed knowing that your money is going nowhere. How I wish I earn a Stable Interest but for the past months, I do not see that trend anymore. To recover from the losses, I am looking for an online business opportunity that is suitable for me as a working mom. Maybe, I can try the bankwire deposit opportunity at stapleinterest.com. But first, I really have to know how it works. It looks promising; imagine earning up to 500% income in 200 days! Hey, however it is, as long as it works. That’s all that matters.
