The 2008 Olympics will be held in China from August 8 to 24, 2008 and in commemoration of the Beijing Olympics, China’s Central Bank has issued new 10-yuan note featuring the sketch of the new National Stadium called the “Bird’s Nest” and the Beijing Olympics emblem. Gone on the new bank note is the face of Mao Zedong, the founding leader of Communist China. The note values at $1.45 and only 6 million will be issued serving as a souvenir for the big event.
