Analog to Digital TV

I hope everybody is aware of this new change on television. On February 17, 2009 all the stations all over U.S. will turn off their analog signals and switch to digital. What is the effect on us? If you have an analog tv and you are still using the rooftop antenna or rabbit ears to get tv signal and you don’t have cable or satellite, you will lose signal not unless you have to make changes. You don’t have to dump your old tv but you need a digital converter box that will convert the digital signals to analog format. You can buy this at local electronics store like radio shack. If you already have cable, satellite or your new tv has built in digital tuner, you don’t have to do anything. So this just an FYI to more than 20 million Americans who are still using analog tv before you totally lose your tv signals.
