Cape Cod Note Cards

In the world of computers and internet, there are traditions that have been taken for granted. Do you still give birthday, Christmas or get well soon cards to your friends or loved ones? To be honest, I am one guilty person. Not much with giving of Christmas cards but with birthdays I just do my greetings electronically.

Why am I on reality check all of a sudden? Because of the card I received from my friend who was in Cape Cod for a vacation. It is a photo card by
Note Card Artist named Fletcher Boland featuring the natural beauty of Cape Cod with her personalized handwritten notes. Fletcher Boland is an independent artist, photographer and a trained sculptor who lives and works at Somerville, Massachusettes. He is an artist who loves to travel and on his Cape Cod Note Cards, he is able to share the amazing places he has been to. Boland has created a name in his own field as shown by the awards and recognition he has received. In 2008, he sold in Juried Auction at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and was a file magazine contributor. This year, he was selected for ArtMarket Boston and featured in Best Photography Annual. Since he started concentrating on photography, he already had numerous shows and a solo one this year.

Check out these beautiful note cards or read the
Note Card Artist Blog at notecardartist.com. The cards are printed on an extremely high quality paper using a mix of nine inks that could last for 100 years. I am sure this card I got will surely last a lifetime.

Residing a couple miles away from the Giants Stadium would definitely make you a football fan. We always feel the football fever every time there is a game at the stadium. Do not ask me who our favorite team is because I do not to say the obvious anymore.

Be A Torchbearer In 2010 Vancouver Olympics

The technology we have today has made changes to how our kids spend their free time. Rather than spending it by doing out outdoor activities, a lot of our youths spend most of their time in front of the computers or TV’s playing games and surfing the internet.

There is a national program for the youth called SOGO Active. Their goal is to inspire our youth of today to be physically active. ParticipACTION , the national voice of physical activity and sport participation in Canada has been retained by Coca Cola to help in the design and execution of Sogo Action. This program is aimed to the youths of Canada; giving young Canadian the tools to design, change and control their own get active plan and to encourage other less active youth to participate. This is a chance for the youth to make their own decisions, connect with group members and plan their activities with the support of Sogo Active.

To reward the active participants who have joined Sogo active and have demonstrated a commitment to adopt an active lifestyle, Coca Cola will be getting 1000 active participants to be awarded torchbearer spots in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. Being able to carry the Olympic flame is an honor and I hope it serves as an inspiration to our youths to join the program.
