Little did I know that hubby likes persimmon. When I was packing them to bring to my job for give away, hubby was like "leave some for me." So this evening after dinner, he showed me how to peel the persimmon, just like you peel a green mango. No seeds inside. You can eat the whole thing like an apple. It is crunchy (i guess because it is not over ripe) and the texture is very fine. With regards to the taste, i could say it is similar to our fruit "chico." I still have to get used to the taste but its alright.

I have only eaten a persimmon once in my whole life when hubs brought home a few. Ang sarap but I can't compare it to chico. I wonder why it's quite rare here unlike apples.
