No Entrecard Dropping

I have been accessing entrecard since this afternoon but it is still on emergency outage up to now (10:30 p.m. est). I don't think I have dropped anything today. Hope this will be resolved immideately. This sure is a good reason to go to bed early tonight. The four day weekend went by so fast and it's going to be another work week again. Oh well. Walmart Worker Dies on Black Friday Stampede

I was watching the evening news and the headline was about a walmart worker got killed during a black Friday sale. It happened this morning at Walmart Valley Stream branch in Long Island, New York. At 5:00 am when the workers got delayed in opening the doors for the 5:00 a.m. sale, shoppers start pounding the steel door until it got broken and pushed the poor worker to the ground. Shoppers did not care, even stepped over the man then started complaining when they were asked to leave. The store was closed for six hours but reopened around 1 p.m. The walmart worker was identified as Jdimytai Damour from Queens, NY. He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead about 6 a.m.

World's Most Expensive New Book

A book about the life and work of Michelangelo which is worth $100,000 was donated by the publisher Marilena Ferrari to the New York Library. It will be on display this coming Tuesday. This velvet and marble bound book is from Italy. Ferrari already sold 20 copies of this book. Hope one day when I go back to the NY Library I can take a photo of this book and post it here.

Dollar to Peso Rate

I just saw on TFC that the dollar exchange rate in the Philippines is now P50. I remember when I was still in the Philippines, once Christmas season approaches, exchange rates go down. OFW's start complaining that the value of their hard earned dollars is nothing because the rate is very low but this Christmas turn our something different. It is good for the Filipino sending money home (like me) but not good for Philippine economy.

Freezing Night

It is terribly cold tonight at 32 degrees. It's only November but we are having a January weather. Tomorrow we will see some flurries with some snow in other areas. The weather report says it will be blustery cold until Saturday. I have the heat in the house at 72 degrees. Brrrr..it's cold!

My husband has lived in Australia for a couple of years before he migrated to the U.S. He tells me a lot about the natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand. Actually, we have plans of visiting these two countries soon. We still have to save for our airfare and pocket money.

He has visited New Zealand and he always talks about Kaikoura, Christchurch and Queenstown. Kaikoura has majestic mountains covered with snow and rich in sea marine mammals, sea birds, whales, dolphins, seals and a lot more. In Queenstown, he wants me to see Lake Wakatipu and the beauty of the mountains. In Churchchrist, I will see a lot of my favorites such as arts and crafts, shopping and great bars. I have read on inquirer’s website that diether ocampo is transferring to GMA 7. He already signed a long term contract with GMA. He will be joining the network’s primetime shows and probably the Korean TV series “All About Eve” which is set to start on TV next year. He was with ABS-CBN’s “Iisa Pa Lamang” with Claudine Barretto and Gabby Concepcion before his transfer to GMA. Diether started as an ABS-CBN talent in 1995.

My Newest UGG

I bought another pair of UGG yesterday. My old one is two years old and over used. It's a shame to even take a picture of it. I still stick to the classic ones but this one has a different sole (more rugged) unlike the old one which is flat. This my best shoes when the temperature drops to 30 degrees. I never felt cold on my feet even if I only wear a regular socks. Also, this one has no zipper so that i can just slide my feet and go.

Pregnant Man is Expecting Again

Nancy, the wife, cannot conceive so they decided Beatie to go through artificial insemination using a sperm from a donor and Beatie’s egg. Now they did it again and the second baby is due on June 12.

Beatie has an interview with Barbara Walters on “20/20” which will be aired on Nov. 14. They are also on British documentary that will be shown on Discovery Health Channel next week.
