We went to see some houses today with the broker. This is for a friend of mine who is being relocated here in New Jersey. We have been talking options of renting vs. becoming a home owner and he decided that it would be wiser to own. So I contacted my broker and my broker came as fast as a lightning.
First house we went to was a cape, with three bedrooms and two bath. The outside is so appealing but when we went in, the kitchen needs updating. The glass tiles were old but the mosaic wall tile was newly replaced according to the broker. The bathroom is huge with matte finish mosaic tiles all over. At the first floor are the kitchen with a formal dining area, living room, half bath and one extra room. The two bedrooms are upstairs. I like the house but we have to see more.
Next house we went was a condo type. For a family like ours, I cannot live in a condo building anymore. This one is located right at the heart of the town with only one car garage assigned per unit. It is really nice with the view of NY from afar but my friend prefers a single detached home than a condo.
We called it a day after this one because the rain started to pour. There was even a thunderstorm warning so we hurriedly went home. My friend will be back in town after two weeks to see more houses in our area this time.
